Rockland County Personal Trainer Combines Tai Chi & Qi Gong To Help His Clients Get Optimal Results

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 2, 2009 -- John Hood has been teaching Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Pilates, kickboxing, strength training and personal fitness in Rockland County for more than twelve years. After studying with Grandmasters in New York City, he opened up a Tai Chi school in 1996 in Nyack, Rockland County, New York. He began to get requests from the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Arc Of Rockland for help with improving their clients' fitness levels.

He discovered that when he integrated the gentle, meditative moves of Tai Chi and Qi Gong with moderate strength training and cardio-vascular movement "games", his clients' abilities blossomed and they developed a calmness and a "presence of mind".

He began incorporate more Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Pilates with his regular clients' programs as well and they loved the gentle moves as either a warm-up or cool down to their regular programs. They also found the mind/body "thoughtfulness" that Tai Chi and Qi Gong develops in its practitioners helpful in staying calm during stressful situations.
