Coral to sponsor inaugural British Masters Poker Tour

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 9, 2009 -- The exciting new www.coral.co.uk tour, which will appeal to all budgets and from grass roots players to seasoned UK professionals, will be a six venue tour, hosted by Gala Casinos, kicking off at Maybury Casino in Edinburgh on May 15th before taking in four additional popular UK venues and culminating in the Grand Final at Harbourside Bristol in October.

Each venue will host two side tournaments in addition to the centrepiece main event. The buy-ins at each festival will be as follows:
• a £200 one day freeze-out on the Friday

• a £500 two day main event freeze-out starting on the Saturday with £1000 added by sponsors coral.co.uk
• a £100 one day freeze-out on the Sunday evening

Players will also have plenty of opportunity to play online satellites and qualifiers for all the events at www.coralpoker.co.uk , www.galapoker.co.uk and www.eurobetpoker.com along with other live qualifiers throughout the country. Online qualifiers start immediately and details can be found on the official website in the ‘Tournament’ section www.britishmasterspokertour.co.uk.

The winner of each main event, plus the best overall player (based on tour winnings) and best online qualifier (based on points) will automatically qualify for a special one table play-off to win the British Masters Poker Tour 2009 title as well as a £10,000 sponsorship package for 2010 – amounting to £16k put up by our sponsors Coral.co.uk.

thenutz.tv will provide a full live stream of all tour events throughout the 2009 season. This will give the players’ family and friends the opportunity to watch all the action live as well as interact with the players during each event.
