Joe Hepperle fires back again at poorly sourced and inaccurate Wikipedia entry about the Longest Word In The English Language.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 9, 2009 --
Joe Hepperle informed Wikipedia editors today that their habit of including non-notable glory hounds as reputable sources is not in compliance with Wikipedia standards. According to Joe Hepperle, he was shocked and horrified to find that two entries in the "Longest English Word" were credited to non-published authors who deliberately fabricated nonsense words for the sole purpose of being the "creator" of the world's longest English word. One of the non-notable authors has submitted a Microsoft Word(r) document of his "book" to Amazon's vanity press (Booksurge Publishing) but no reports have verified that any books have actually been printed. Amazon's vanity press, Booksurge Publishing, allows anyone to write anything and submit it as a "book" in Word(r) format. Then Amazon tries to help you sell your book (even though no actual copies have even been printed) by including your book "title" in the return listing with legitimate book searches. If anyone decides to buy a copy of your writings, then Amazon (Booksurge) has the ability to spit out a single copy of your "book". It costs the original "author" nothing, and no "book" is ever printed unless there is an order for a copy. There has been no response yet from Wikipedia Editors.
