(Free-Press-Release.com) April 11, 2009 -- For Immediate Release

Alberta, Canada, April 11, 2009. – Everything old is new again. This site comes along while the craze for reviving things from the past has taken off into the stratosphere.

Just over the last few years, bands that had their heyday back in the 70’s and 80’s are, once again, filling up arenas worldwide: Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Take That, The Police…

Products from many eras are also coming back – many brands of foods, toys and clothes, are getting a second chance.

Millions of internet searches for discontinued products and services are being conducted every month.

Many of the big web sites also feature regular articles about the best products from yesteryear.

DiscontinuedNoMore.com creator, Ken Butcher, created the site because he wanted the public to have the opportunity to revive the many great things that are simply not around any more, rather than just do without or buy used on the many internet auction sites.

Ken declares that there are precious few sites on the internet that appear to cater to this niche market: but it’s a big one, he says. “While trawling the internet, all I could find were sites where people reminisced about long-gone items and bands and so on. And it also became apparent that millions of searches were being made every month for this stuff. I struggled to find any sites that could actually help this market, in a simple way, by providing a one-stop shop for everything, with minimal user effort”.

So, Ken created a concept that was simple to use, yet would have the maximum impact – to get virtually any discontinued item back on the market.

Ken’s site brings the consumers to the marketers by letting the public tell the marketers what they want to see back on the market. It does so by letting users add their own favourite discontinued items or vote for and rate items that others have put on the site.

The goal is for the site to be both a vital market research tool but also an efficient marketing tool in its own right. Advertising on this site will reach the users: and they are targeted to be, on the whole, eager consumers.

Ken concludes, “We designed this site for the consuming public. The more they use it, the more impact it will have and the more discontinued things they will get back!”

The free-to-use site has been designed to get everyone’s favourites from the past back on the market. Its simple voting and rating interface encourages maximum traffic that will influence manufacturers to reintroduce the most popular items from the past.
