Jeff Owen Sculptor announces his May 2009 Exhibition Schedule

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 12, 2009 -- JEFF OWEN, nationally renowned local Bay Area sculptor, announces his May fine art events. Jeff Owen will be displaying and sell his abstract STEEL metal sculptures, mobiles, and his collaborative steel-glass sculptures with glass artist MARC DEMIAN of Demian Glass three weekends in May 2009. He has his sculptures displayed at two local galleries and one art exhibition.

Jeff Owen is known for his unique abstract steel sculptures using found metal. Jeff Owen describes his art as the past combined into the present, mingling of age, time, and space into congruent single form, the many into one. His technique is brute force, decide-at-the-moment. His creative process emerges with patterns that he incorporates into all of my sculptures. He creates art that is completely unique, something no one has done before. He resists conformity and mass production and that his art is as individual as he is.

Jeff Owen’s haven’t gone un-noticed by the art world and art collectors. He was honored to be selected for the GBK VIP Gift Suite at the 2009 Golden Globes Awards. Jeff Owen's sculptures have won awards locally at Carmel, Palm Springs, and Los Gatos and more recently at 8th Biennial City of Santa Clara Indoor Sculpture Exhibition at Santa Clara City Hall and Los Gatos Open Juried Show. His sculptures are displayed in indoor and outdoor corporate and individual collections nationwide and internationally.
