The website’s founder and owner, Joan Gershman, whose own husband suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, and the female members of www.thealzheimerspouse.com have heard the caregiving questions from the men, and have come to their rescue.

These men have not only taken up the tasks of cooking, cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping, but much to their dismay, have been faced with negotiating the uncharted territory of buying underwear, applying makeup, styling hair, and other female maintenance issues to which they were never privy.
