Fake Voodoo Doctors, Spiritual Workers & Fake Psychics - How to Spot a Fake & Not Get Scammed Fake Voodoo Doctors, Spiritual Workers & Fake Psychics - How to Spot a Fake & Not Get Scammed

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) April 16, 2009 --Annually people lose billions of dollars on fake psychic and fake spiritual workers. These scammers prey upon people at their most venerable times and when they are most desperate. The more desperate a person sounds the more money they will ask the person to pay. It is because of these ridiculous fraudulent activities, I wanted to give people information on how not to be scammed. I spoke to several professional spiritual practitioners to gain this information to share with the public. I also included a couple of well known voodoo workers who have good solid reputations, a strong spiritual following and have been in the field for many years. There are good psychics and spiritual workers out there, its just a matter of picking through the bull to get to them. Good luck!

(1) Beware of free readings upfront or no reading at all!
A Real Spiritual Worker will want to do a full reading before doing any spiritual work for you. Real spiritual workers don't want to take a case without knowing fully what is going on and how to best handle your individual situation. This serves both the client and the worker. This way the client knows up front what they are up against and how easy or difficult the case might be and how long you can expect to see results. If a spiritual worker just quickly gives you a price or a price range without a reading, they may be a fraud. Also if they are offering free readings, remember ALL the scam artists offer free readings to get you in and take your money. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Do your research!

(2) Beware of "psychics" who ask for all the details upfront!
A Real Spiritual Worker will actually know things about your life and situation or family that you didn't have to tell them. Scam artists often give "cold readings" which allow them to gather information as they go. It is best if you don't tell the person everything up front when you call them. Many real spiritual workers will often ask clients to tell the type of help they are looking for but not give the details. This way, the spiritual worker will know if it is the type of case they handle or if they need to refer the client to someone else. Do yourself a favor and don't give a lot of information to a spiritual worker. A real one won't want you to give too much anyway. That’s not to say that you should expect them to know everything. They aren't God after all, but if they are a real psychic or a spiritual worker, they will know some key things up front.

(3) Beware of anyone who instantly tells you there is a curse!
A Real Spiritual Worker won't instantly tell you that you have a curse upon you or a loved one...or even that you were born with a generational curse. Yes, curses do exist and generational curses definitely exist, but most times that is not what is going on. Many scammers use this as a scare tactic to get you to hurry and pay them money. Scammers will also tell you that the person who is doing the work against you or your desires paid a lot of money to put you in the predicament you are in. Usually they are saying this because they want you to pay them a lot of money. Don't believe it! Real spiritual workers say they speak with 5 to 10 people per day who say they have had reading where the Psychic told them they were cursed. Many have had several Psychics tell them the same thing, so they really believe they are cursed. Real spiritual workers say that nine times out of ten when they do a real reading they find out that the client ISN'T cursed and that there are other issues that can often be simply taken care of to bring the needed change. If you feel like what the person is saying doesn't sound right...get a second or even third opinion!

(4) Beware of those who constantly ask for more and more money!
A Real Spiritual Worker will give you ONE price for the work or spell that is being done and won't charge you again for the same work or spell. If someone is asking you for more and more money, it is almost certainly a scam artist. Every real spiritual practitioner charges one price for one case or spell. Also, be leery of those that tell you they need more and more money for supplies. If someone asks you for more money for the same spell or supplies for the same spell you already paid for, RUN!

(5) Beware of those who don't return calls and who don't answer emails!
A Real Spiritual Worker will request specific personal items from each person involved in the work being done. They will also keep in contact with you during the work to check on your progress. They will answer your emails and phone calls unless you call a ridiculous amount for no apparent reason. Since this is a case they are actively working on they will want to keep in contact with you throughout the process. Remember, real spiritual workers DO NOT disappear after getting your money.

(6) Beware of those who change their names or phone numbers!
A Real Spiritual Worker will have the same phone number and address and even website for as long as they do work. They won't change numbers constantly. Scammers change numbers a lot because they are ducking people who have paid them money and received no spiritual results. I was also told to caution potential clients about voices. If the person has a different voice, but they claim to be the same person just hang up and find a new spiritual worker because it is an apparent scam! The gypsy psychic scam rings all use the same name interchangeably. This is why you can call that same person night or day and he or she will answer. Usually it is a family member of the person with which you originally dealt. Again, do your research by doing a web search on the phone number!

(7) Beware of those who ask you to instantly wire them money!
A Real Spiritual Worker WILL NOT ask you to instantly send a Money Gram or Western Union with no name and only a test question, or with a strange name they claim is their family member. Most of them state that they prefer clients to send money via money order or PayPal, which will give the client a legitimate receipt. If a real spiritual worker does accept Money Gram or Western Union they will give you their full real names and addresses and not tell you to put it on a test question. That has scam written all over it as it makes you unable to track your money or the person to which you sent it!

(8) Beware of those with 100% Guarantees!
A Real Spiritual Worker will not make false claims. Many scam artists say that their spells and spiritual work is 100% guaranteed. If someone says their work is100% guaranteed then you should run. This is a sure sign that they are scamming you. All real spiritual workers understand that they are not God and that only God can give 100% guarantees. The people I have listed below state that they have extremely high success rates according to their clients. They claim this to be the case because they only take cases where they will be successful to ensure happy clients. However, they will quickly tell you that they don't claim to be God.

(9) Beware of people who put pressure on you or scare you into doing spells!
A Real Spiritual Worker won't pressure you into moving forward with spiritual work. They will tell you what they believe would be most beneficial in your situation and then they will let you make up your own mind. Someone pressuring you is a dead giveaway that they are trying to scam money out of you. Don't fall for scare tactics either.

(10) Beware of those who ask for another person's phone number or address!
This one hurt my heart to find out, but during my research I heard over and over again that scam artists are now stating up front that they need the phone number of the client's lost love or job or other person the client is seeking help to change. Then the fake voodoo worker or fake psychic will blackmail the client by saying they will call the person and tell them what the client is trying to do to them. In this way, they can extort more money from the client out of fear. This is absolutely awful! If a spiritual worker asks you for a phone number for someone you are having work completed on, stop the work right then! If you give it to them it will only make your life that much worse!

(11) Be aware of your own feelings about the person with which you are working!
Lastly, I am told that potential clients should always follow their intuition or that little voice in the back of their head that gives them an uneasy feeling about someone who isn't "right." If you feel you are being scammed...you probably are! Do your research before paying large sums of money!
