Peoria Mazda Car Dealer features 2010 Mazda CX-9

The CX-9 is a vehicle that has been successful from its beginning. The CX-9 changed the way consumers looked at three-row crossover SUVs when it was released in 2007. With its style, versatility and safety, the CX-9 continues to impress car buyers in its fourth year. For the 2010 model year, the CX-9 gets significant exterior and interior upgrades, new options and more comprehensive safety features. New on the exterior will be: a new wheel design; larger, more aerodynamic side mirrors; a bolder five-point grille; and a new rear design that coordinates more smoothly with the front fascia design.

New enhancements for 2010 include: Piano-black insets on the steering wheel and around audio display; a new double-lid center console that allows easier opening and boasts ample storage; and new fabric seating surfaces. Front-wheel drive comes standard on the Mazda CX-9 for excellent drivability, with Mazda's Active Torque All-Wheel Drive optionally available. This system rapidly adjusts to changing traction needs by monitoring wheel slippage, steering angle, yaw rate, lateral acceleration and available driveline torque. In normal driving, all of the driving torque is sent to the front wheels. However, during aggressive acceleration or when one front wheel is on the verge of slip, a controlled percentage of the available torque is directed to the rear axle.
