Lucky 7 Records, The Wilson Family & Lightening Entertainment inc. are working to put a summer tour together honoring the legendary "GAP BAND".

"The tour's main purpose is honoring Uncle Charlie, Ronnie and Robert Wilson, for their accomplishments in the music world and setting a sound standart for the likes of R. KELLY, GUY, AARON HALL, KEITH SWEAT, BLACKSTREET, MINT CONDITION, JAGGED EDGE, KC & JO-JO, JOE & GINUWINE" says Frank Wilson the CEO of LUCKY 7 RECORDS.

The tour will start at the birth place of the GAP BAND in Tulsa OK. Will feature the third generation of the Wilson's artists like Blaqthoven, Jelly Roll, N E MEANS, C James, Blaq Fuego, guest appearances by the GAP BAND and many feature suprice guests.
Tour dates will be posted once finalized.

Ever since the 1990s, the Gap Band's most famous hits have been sampled and covered by the likes of Nas, Snoop Dogg, Warren G., Jermaine Dupri, Da Brat, Notorious B.I.G., Blackstreet, Shaquille O'Neal, Mia X, and Mary J. Blige. "Outstanding" was even sampled for a famous 1990s commercial for malt liquor. Recently, "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" was featured in the hit videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on funk radio station Bounce FM.
