Western Career College Students Provide Free Massages and More at Community Event

(Free-Press-Release.com) April 28, 2009 -- CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. – April 28, 2009 –Western Career College students will provide free massages, and conduct demonstrations in their career fields of dental assisting, massage therapy and veterinary technology at the 2nd Annual Senior Health Fair on Saturday, May 16 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in Fountain Square Rose Garden at 6237 Fountain Square Drive in Citrus Heights.

This year’s event, “Soaring to Healthy Heights” includes 75 exhibits dedicated to senior issues and concerns, as well as free health and vision screenings, informative presentations on topics such as fraud and stolen identity prevention, and joint replacements. In addition there will be exhibitor door prizes, musical entertainment and free tote bags and hand fans to the first 700 attendees.
“Having our students involved in the Senior Health Fair is a win/win situation for the students, as well as the community they will be serving after they graduate,” said Jim Murphy, executive director of Western Career College’s Citrus Heights campus. “We are pleased to be a part of this community outreach event.”

The Citrus Heights campus offers nine to 24 month programs leading to diplomas or associate degrees in the areas of dental assisting, health care administration, massage therapy, medical assisting, pharmacy technology, surgical technology, ultrasound technology, veterinary technology and criminal justice.
