Lo-Down Entertainment taps Davis Music Group head for SVP of Marketing/Promotions

San Antonio, TX -- April 28, 2009 - Having booked a string of several concert dates for R&B Grammy artists Montell Jordan, 90's icon group, Dru Hill, and music award winner, producer and author Kelly Price, Angela Davis of the Davis Music Group also secured performance engagements for Lo-Down Entertainment's rosters from her home office in Warren, MI.

Mrs. Davis, a military spouse and mother of 6, locked in several events for the LDE crew nationwide and promptly impressed LDE's artists and management. On her selection to Senior VP of Marketing/Promotions, "Mrs. Davis is helping us successfully catapult our artists and small label into becoming the industry's next premier music company, for those in the industry who are not watching," said Lo-Down Entertainment's president/CEO Francisco Logan. "In a short period these last few weeks, she has consistently demonstrated the vision and expertise necessary for building and shaping our expanding company, while continuing to be instrumental in formulating new success formulas for legend artists like Montell Jordan and our new breeds, Valet and J Styles." 

Mrs. Davis will retain her position as president of the Davis Music Group, while pushing LDE forward with its plans to fused other former music icons with today's emerging talents. "One of the reasons for me to take on this challenge was that LDE is closely in tuned with the music market place today. Keeping recognizable figures out there while introducing freshness gives balance to the system which is needed on a concert circuit and what LDE is about. A win-win strategy for artists, LDE, promoters and our sponsors", says Mrs. Davis.

LDE is a quasi-label, artist development and concert promotion company based in Texas. The label founded by retired Army sergeant in 2002, paired up with artist-producer, Valet, to release one of 2004's raunchiest CD albums, only tamed in standards by the 2-Live Crew. The CD, "Park That Azz", surpassed 400,000 independently and still sells online today.
