Knock ‘em Alive Productions Presents a Cinco de Mayo Comedy Jam May 3, 2009

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 2, 2009 -- Comedians, Rick Martinez, Luis Moro, Ernie G., and Jason Landau finds deep veins of humor in everyday life as a Latino comics and being the one gay comic in this line-up. They will perform their standup act at 8:30 p.m. May 3 at the The Comedy Store in Hollywood.

These four comics have been busy funny guys, Rick Martinez is one of the fastest rising Latino comedians in America, and he recently starred on VH1. His motivation stems from a thought he once had, " I remember how great I felt when some one made me laugh, so I wanted to give the world the same feeling back." His show has been selling out from the very beginning and has been running for 4 years strong. It has sold out at the Improv in Hollywood , Ontraio, and San Jose, and it also sold out the Boulder Station Casino in Las Vegas.

Cuban actor and comedian Luis Moro has been holding many hats. As producer for films such as Love & Suicide, Anne B. Real, The Unseen, Venus & Vegas, and more recently teaming up with Sir Ben Kingsley in a new Indian Country movie Whispers Like Thunder.

His comic roots go all the way back to his hometown Union City in New Jersey where for 9/11, he created and produced Comics Unite: Healing the World with Laughter on November 12th 2001. A diverse group of comedians united to perform stand up comedy to assist 9/11 victims in the foodservice industry; waiters, busboys, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers who worked in and around The World Trade Centers, NYC. The event was hosted by comedian Bobbi Shropshire, with Jeff Altman, Luis Moro, Paul Mooney, and many more. Luis’ acting can be seen in various films, including The Siege, For Love of the Game, 3000 Miles to Graceland, King of the Ants and his debut co-starring role in Love & Suicide. Moro's first original stand-up comedy show 'East vs West' was taped in 2008 and will be release in 2009 on DVD.

Ernie G. “Papi Chulo Mama's Boy” has been the weekly host of “Comedy @ The Rumba Room” every Monday night on Universal City Walk. For the past 2 years, this Comedy Show has featured the country’s top urban and multi-ethnic Comedians, and is recognized nationally as one of the top comedy spots in the country.

Recently, Ernie G was asked to become a National Spokesperson for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and will be hosting numerous HSF events throughout the country. He will be presented with 1st Annual The Mario Moreno "Cantinflas" Award, for "uplifting the spirits of Latinos, generating optimism, and like Cantinflas, utilizing his power to help those most in need."

Funny man Jason Landau is one of Hollywood's up and coming comics, has appeared as a guest spot on Will & Grace and various TV shows. Outrageously hilarious.
