The son of comedian Jerry Lewis, and leader of the 1960s group, "Gary Lewis and the Playboys," will tour the country with his sister Suzan Lewis for a series of lectures. The topic of their discussion will be the DNA test they both participated in which determined what they already knew; Suzan and Gary Lewis are siblings, and Jerry Lewis is Suzan's biological father.

Suzan Lewis is the subject of a new book being published in July of 2009. "Jerry's Kid: The Suzan lewis Story," will trace her life from childhood in New York City, where her mother and stepfather owned the El Morocco night club, and the Voisin restaurant, a french eatery frequented by the likes of President and Mrs. Kennedy, the Nixons, and stars of stage, screen, and TV. Suzan Lewis became a debutante, went to finishing school in Switzerland, and married and lived in France. In 1967, at the age of 26, Suzan learned from her mother that as a result of an affair in 1951, Suzan is the daughter of Jerry Lewis. Life took several bad turns for the former socialite, and following a serious automobile accident in the United States in the 1990s, Suzan became permanently disabled. Due to her inability to work, and insufficient government benefits, Suzan was homeless on a few occasions. Since learning in 2008 about his daughter's hardships, Jerry Lewis has refused to comment or to return Suzan's calls.

In a 1980 meeting in France, Suzan and Jerry Lewis bonded as father and daughter, with a promise from the movie legend that they would remain in touch. The following day, Suzan Lewis learned that her father was no longer interested in a relationship.

During the combined lectures, Gary Lewis will discuss his life as the first born son of one of the most famous entertainers in the world. He will also talk about his own career, and why he decided to help his sister by providing his DNA. Suzan Lewis will detail the plight of people living on the streets. She will also talk about her decades long quest to have her father publicly acknowledge her. Gary Lewis says, "Everyone deserves to know who they are and where they came from." Suzan Lewis says, "There are no illegitimate children, only illegitimate parents." Jerry Lewis says nothing!

Gary Lewis continues touring with his iconic band, and Suzan Lewis hopes to be an entertainer with a message; she wants to raise awareness about the homeless and disabled in the United States.
