Dow University Health Expo 2009 to be held from 3-5 October 2009 at Karachi Expo Centre

Here masses are facing a lot of problems like mental and physical illnesses due to poverty, lack of awareness. The above scenario demands quick action as the figure may be checked by prompt actions like proper health education and vaccination and an effective preventive health strategy.

Dr. Sagheer Ahmed Minister Health Sindh appreciated the efforts Prof. Masood Hameed Khan Vice Chancellor Dow University, Dr. Khursheed Nizam President E Com Gateway and member of press. He mentioned that the major burden of Health Care System of Sindh Province is of those diseases that are largely preventable, and it is logical that we put our maximum effort in prevention side as major strategy for handling the Health problems. He expressed his happiness as Pro-Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences that the University during this short time has made remarkable achievements in developing educational programs for health care professionals as well as public awareness activities. To highlight the different educational programs and more importantly to create more public awareness this Mega Event, of Dow Health Expo has been conceptualized by Prof. Masood Hameed Khan which he is sure will help in creating more awareness of available resources and better prevention programs not only for the Province of Sindh but the whole of Pakistan. He also mentioned that, Dow University Health Expo will be the biggest health exhibition in the history of Pakistan that would provide exclusive interaction of pharmaceutical firms, hospital equipment manufacturers and others suppliers in the health industry with doctors, consultants and general physicians.

Karachi and Pharma Bureau of Information & Statistics. Exclusive Pavilions on Diabetes, Prevention and Management of Hyperlipidemia, Cardiac Diseases, Liver and Gastrointestinal Diseases, Women and Children Health, Oncology, Respiratory Diseases, Dentistry, Neurological and Psychiatric Diseases and Skin diseases will be established at the Exhibition.
