Southern Rock Society and Band

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 8, 2009 -- The Southern Rock Society Band has been officially together for just about two years. Prior to that, Larry (the drummer) and Wolfgang (Guitar) played in a Blues band called "Bobby Kas & The Redliners for four (4) years, 2001 - 2005.

Kenny (second guitar and fiddle player) has played with a number of local Country bands, as well as being a full time musician back in the early 1990s, where he spent some time in Nashville writing music.

Jason (bass player), through his young 30 years, he has had quite a bit of playing experience. After high school, he and friends put together a band called "Bolt Action" which stayed together for at least six years or more, and they released a hard-rocking CD that was popular with the heavy-metal crowd

Wolfgang picked up the guitar after high school, first playing all the old classic rock songs, to finding his roots and real love for music in Southern Rock. He always dreamed about being in a great Southern Rock band, and that dream is now a reality.

Aaron, is the SRS band sound engineer. Aaron keeps the sound quality, and clarity in all the different venues and settings, which can be challenging.

The SRS band has had the honor of touring and performing with some of our heroes. For example, in late 2007, the SRS band was a part of a three show tour with The Winters Brothers Band along the West Coast of Florida. In the Summer of 2008, the SRS band played the Jam-A-Que, near Nashville, TN with Jo Jo Billingsley (of Lynyrd Skynyrd). During that same show, singing with us was Keith Landry (of ToTo, and Lee Greenwood). Keith was a special guest at the Jam-A-Que, that had the SRS band learn some of his favorite songs to perform with him. As much as we love to be the Southern Rock Society Band, we still remain focused as the founders and driving force behind the Southern Rock Society. The organization that is focused on promoting many southern rock bands and performers, and their music through participating and sponsoring music related events, working with venues and music business executives to keep our style of music available to a growing number of listeners for now and for generations to come. The Southern Rock Society was launched right here in south Florida by us, and has over 1500 members world-wide, in areas including most of the United States and many of the countries around the world.
