3 Square Interior Design has added landscape consultancy to its repertoire to provide a complete solution to its clients for residential villas. Nazneen Sabavala joins the ‘3 Square’ team from the US where she has worked for the past seven years designing for Hollywood’s glitterati, and owners of multinational companies.
“We are delighted to have Nazneen join 3 Square and bring her experience to Dubai where we believe she has something unique to offer clients in terms of their landscape requirements” Says Bivas Mishra, Managing Partner of 3 Square.
“Nazneen’s experience in designing for and handling projects from small residential projects to large estates for some of the most demanding clients in the world is a definite advantage as Dubai has grown in prominence and clients in Dubai also demand the best.”
Nazneen’s previous employment in the US gave her the opportunity to deal with leading Hollywood Stars, film producers and heads of large multinational firms for their private estates in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Sunset Boulevard and Santa Monica where she was responsible for conceptualizing the design and managing the project till fulfillment.
“To partner with 3 Square was perfect, their style is exciting and pretty similar to the way I design for the Landscape” says Nazneen. Nazneen holds a degree in Architecture and a Masters degree in Building Science.
“Most clients here (in Dubai) believe that their gardens can only be used for about 5-6 months in a year, however, there’s no reason why they can’t use their gardens for most of the year through the right selection of materials, plants, and trees” Says Nazneen. “It’s possible to create micro climates within the garden to keep it comfortable throughout the year.”
“I think when people look to design the interiors of their villas it’s the right time to incorporate the landscape design in order to maintain a flow from the interior to the exterior of their homes.” She continues “The landscape as with the interiors is a reflection of the client’s personality – How they use the space, whether for entertaining or just for tranquility or even a mix of both.”
“It’s fantastic that Dubai is looking to ‘go green’ there are so many possibilities to reduce the environmental footprint through simple actions such as creating rooftop gardens, selecting the right materials for construction and landscaping can play its own part in contributing to this” concludes Nazneen.
