Blythe Park School Presents Another Innovative Show Called Bohemian Rhapsody
40 Blythe Park students once again aim to present a professional awe inspiring production about Russian history and the country's culture.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) May 14, 2009 --Last year, 60 students from Blythe Park School presented a cirque du soliel show called "Circle of Celebration" where they even had professionals from the Chicago theater community attend and help with rehearsals like Chuck Smith from Goodman Theater. It received standing ovations for each of the performances due to the content and talent that these students exhibited. Circle of Celebration focused on multicultural diversity and the balance of life.
This year, 40 students from Blythe Park School are performing "Bohemian Rhapsody," which focuses on Russian culture and its history--including the last days of the Romanov monarchy and the Russian Revolution. Included is the famous traditional Russian folk song called "Kalinka" and the classic folk play called "The Firebird, Horse of Wisdom and Princess Vasillisa." The finale is a dance/pantomime piece about the Romanovs and the Russian Revolution where all 40 students participate in the finale. The children are doing lifts, acrobats and dancing complex steps. These performances are innovative, fresh and unique!
There are two scheduled performances: Thursday, May 28th at 2:00 and Friday, May 29th, 7:00. Admission is free and seats are limited. Due to popular demand, you must reserve your seats in advance.
