The WBC Welterweight Champion will defend his title at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, FL, May 30. Andre Berto, undefeated at 24-0, will battle Juan Urango at the HBO televised event. Berto currently holds the former title of Floyd Mayweather Jr., who recently came out of retirement. There is much anticipation about when these two will face each other.

The young superstar, with 18 knockouts on his resume, hails from Winter Haven, FL. This will be the third defense of his championship belt. Berto previously defeated Steve Forbes and Luis Collazo. "I'm focused, I'm healthy and ready to take care of business," said Berto in response to a third shot at his title.

Berto is also recognized for his humanitarian service. Earlier this year he traveled to his native homeland on behalf of the Carma Foundation. Berto visited schools, churches and communities in Haiti encouraging citizens and handing out supplies. "I hope to one day build boxing gyms in Haiti and give people there an opportunity to participate in the sport," said Berto of his humanitarian experience.
