(Free-Press-Release.com) May 14, 2009 --The new version of XpertMart's POS Software and Inventory Control Software takes full advantage of multi-core processors. XpertMart is written 100% in Java ™ which is an multi-threaded language and as such is the ideal language to use to run different threads on different cores of the processor.

XpertMart has always used multiple threads to simultaneously be able to ring up a sale at point of sale while synchronizing information with the main office, or enter a transfer out slip while calculating sales statistics or ideal minimum inventory stock. We have redesigned the internals to have each process use it own connection to the database so that each process can be totally core independent.

XpertMart is generally delivered to run on the Firebird™ Database. The newer versions of Firebird™ can run in a classic mode which also uses a separate connection to the database server for each SQL command. So XpertMart and Firebird™ make an excellent match. Many of our users run their main office on an Oracle™ database. XpertMart is database independent and as such can be run on almost any JDBC compatible SQL database server.
