Particle Sciences Completes Development of Unique Surface Modificati

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 20, 2009 -- Bethlehem, PA, May 20, 2009 -- Particle Sciences Inc. today announced the development of a unique film-forming system with applications ranging from tissue hydration to the passivation of medical device surfaces. “The backbone of the system is a series of patent-pending polymers that allow Particle Sciences to “dial in” the desired contact angle” says Andrew Loxley, PS’ Director of New Technologies. Particle Sciences has already used the system to develop an ocular formulation for one of its clients. Early clinical results are very promising but are still embargoed. “In this

application, we were able to achieve substantial improvement over existing products in terms of degree and duration of activity using this newly developed approach” says Robert Lee, PS’ VP Pharmaceutical Development.
