Hotel Parisi Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

San Diego, CA, May 21, 2009 – Hotel Parisi is celebrating a decade of offering world travelers four-star accommodations in the heart of La Jolla. While staying true to the luxury boutique concept that started Hotel Parisi on May 19, 1999, this 29-guest suite hotel has implemented many new amenities over the past ten years, including environmentally-friendly features, a state-of-the-art high-tech meeting room, and extended stay luxury apartments.

A Greener Way to Stay

In 2008, Hotel Parisi dramatically reduced the hotel’s carbon footprint by becoming the first and only hotel in San Diego to replace all of its electricity with wind power by committing to purchase 294,000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy credits, enough to offset all of the electricity consumed in its facilities. Additional, more unique, green features that were implemented include a keycard activated light system where guests use their room key to turn on their lights to ensure that the lights are turned off when they leave. Hotel Parisi also introduced other green features including organic and sulfite-free bath products, sky lights, energy saving light bulbs and UV-resistant glass windows to conserve energy. The hotel also offers a reusable linen program for guests who’d like to make their stay at Hotel Parisi even “greener.”

State-of-the-art Web Conferencing
One of the most recent improvements that Hotel Parisi has added in the past year is a high-tech meeting space, perfect for business meetings. The 1,200 square foot conference center features a state-of-the-art 65” LCD flat screen TV with video and Web conferencing. The room also includes a drop-down screen and wireless Internet. Guests can even join the conference virtually from their guest rooms.
