CCMC Accepting Applications for Second Annual Patricia McCollom Scholarship through Aug. 1

(Free-Press-Release.com) May 26, 2009 -- August 1 is the deadline to apply for the education grant, which can be used to help cover the cost of tuition, travel, and expenses at a continuing education event.

CCMC will announce the scholarship winner in October, during Case Manager Week. The case manager chosen as the scholarship winner will possess professional case management ideals exemplified by Patricia McCollom, a former CCMC commissioner whose professional practice spanned several decades. McCollom was an accomplished mentor, coach, speaker, and a leader in the emergence of case management practice, as well as a role model for those fortunate enough to work with her.

To be eligible for CCMC’s Patricia McCollom Scholarship, applicants must:
· Be current CCMs, excluding current and past CCMC Commissioners
· Be currently working in the case management field
· Present two letters of recommendation from a colleague or supervisor highlighting the applicant’s commitment to continuing education and mentoring
