Portland Green Business Leaders Highlighted by Portland Business Alliance Video

Alliance board chair, Steve Holwerda, learns how The Standard and Elephant's Delicatessen are making business decisions that help their planet and their business.

In the video, which can be seen at http://snipurl.com/greenbusiness Holwerda talks with The Standard's sustainability program manager and learns about their efforts to be more energy efficient and offer employees more transportation options.

"Any type of business can figure out ways to be more sustainable," said Steve Holwerda, Alliance board chair. "Identifying waste and figuring out how to do more with less is good for your business and good for the environment."

Holwerda also visits Elephant's Deli where he chats with one of the owners, Anne Weaver, and learns about biodegradable cutlery, responsible food waste disposal and how the catering industry is going green.
