(Free-Press-Release.com) June 2, 2009 -- Des Moines, WA. - Ascension Wellness Center & Healing Day Spa in Des Moines, WA is proud to announce it will be hosting the Beginning to Zen™ Meditation & Stress Reduction Classes.

Beginning to Zen™ isn’t your normal meditation class. Most classes believe that what they teach is the best and only way to meditate. B2Z is different. We use multiple techniques to find what works for each person as nothing works perfectly for everyone. Beginning to Zen™ teaches you to be your own Guru!

When the creator/ teacher (Seattle Native) Jason Morton started to learn meditation at the age of 14 he was told that he had to sit cross legged for 45 minutes, just breathing. This was nearly impossible and made meditation frustrating and stressful.
After trying another style of meditation Morton found a totally different technique. While it wasn’t perfect it was better. This led Jason to search for the ultimate method. After 16 years of studies and thousand of dollars in classes, books, and tapes Morton had an epiphany!

He realized that each person had success with different methods and everyone claiming theirs is the best was in a sense right. What these teachers were teaching was the best method; for them! Meditation is personal and our minds and experiences are so different person to person that what works for me will not be the best for you.
This led Jason to develop a new style of meditation called Beginning to Zen™. Rather then tell people what works he found the common denominators that make the good meditations techniques work. He came up with a recipe for meditation success.
Much like a 5 course dinner all meditations had a few things in common. Each meal starts with an appetizer, but like meditation everyone likes different things for their apps, same with the salad and entrée, we like different things but still in a useful, logical structure.

For example all meditations relax the body then quiet the mind. Morton teaches 5-6 methods for each of these processes. Whether your left or right brained, extrovert or introvert Beginning to Zen™ has multiple methods to accomplish each piece of the set structure. To sum up, you become your own Guru! Use what works best for you as what works best for me is my technique.
Due to the struggling economy and the need for those who have been left without a job to find some peace we are offering anyone who has been laid off a reduced rate for meditation classes. Normal class fee is $115 for a series of three classes. For the temporarily unemployed we are asking only $85, a great savings!
