Harrah’s Entertainment St. Louis Launches Nationwide Search for the “Next iBAR Star”

LOUIS, MO – Harrah’s Entertainment St. Louis (Harrah’s) is holding a nationwide talent contest titled the “Next iBAR Star,” searching for acts and performers of all types. At stake are $10,000 in cash and a chance at a contract to perform live at Harrah’s iBAR – the hottest Blackjack bar venue and nightlife scene located in the heart of Harrah’s casino.

Beginning the week of June 1, 2009, talented hopefuls from around the country, including singers, dancers, actors, comedians, magicians, ventriloquists and jugglers alike, will have the opportunity to show America what they’re made of, and hopefully impress a select panel of judges and online audiences everywhere to qualify them to next round of competition. To enter, participants must submit a 1-4 minute video clip of their unique talent online at www.NextiBARStar.com by July 20, 2009, to be eligible for the review and judging process. Among those who do not have access to a camera, participants are encouraged to register and sign up online at http://www.harrahsstlouis.com/casinos/harrahs-stlouis/casino-misc/on-site-recording-registration-detail.html to be filmed on-site at VooDoo for a live audition.

NextiBARStar.com will showcase audition videos of contestants from around the country. The website provides participants a venue to share his or her talent with online fans. In addition, the online viewing audience will get a sneak peek of the talent pool and help decide who will advance to the live show by rating the video submissions starting July 21, 2009.

Following the judging period, acts hand-picked by Harrah’s panel of judges along with the crowd favorites will advance to the semi-finals. Semi-finalists will be contacted by Harrah’s on or around July 29, 2009, to be invited to compete in one of the 12 live performances held every Friday and Saturday night at Harrah’s iBAR St. Louis. The highest rated performers from each round will progress to the finals on Saturday, October 3, 2009. As each contestant vies for their chance to perform live in a final showdown to win over America’s hearts, only one thing is for certain – one talented act, who proves they’re worthy of superstardom, will be crowned the ultimate title of the Next iBAR Star!
