Black Sheep Bikes Co-operative Announce New Feature Artist

June 4, 2009

Art & Motorcycle Collective Black Sheep Bikes have announced a leading UK digital artist to their ranks.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 4, 2009 -- Black Sheep Bikes are proud to announce Dan 'the ability' to it's ranks of artists. Dan is one of the UK's leading digital artist specialising in surreal, grungy and urban tech illustrations. He is known for his technical and unique style, and has been featured in a number of worldwide marketing leading design magazines.

His most recent work has been been with leading Drum & Bass artist Goldie - having produced album art and prints. So impressed with the work Goldie wrote this personal testimonial to Dan's abilities.

"Dan’s the kind of artist you can see going somewhere. It takes a lot visually to make me pay attention and when I first saw his material, I was like Wow, this kid’s good” Goldie

Dan will be contributing on Black Sheep Bikes latest project, for which they are fundraising by raffling of a Custom built Suzuki Katana at £10 a ticket, whilst donating 20% of funds to Macmillan and County Air Ambulance charities.

About Black Sheep Bikes

Black Sheep Bikes are a collective of artists, mechanics, welders, designers and fabricators who have been pulled together by UK artist Nick Clark. Their raison d'être is to ultimately produce one off artworks whether it's custom motorcycles, limited edition art, limited edition clothing or ultimately community based art projects. They aim to promote up and coming artists and give them a forum with which to practice their art, and receive backing and a selling forum.

They believe that art should be free and available to view for everyone, and usually eschew installations in traditional art galleries. Taking this guerilla art attitude they aim by selling tickets to win a custom motorbike, so they can erect a 'motorcycle/forklore' inspired installation, using new artists and members of the community.

Black Sheep Bikes will officially be launched on 20th June where the winner of the custom built Suzuki Katana will be announced, and donations will be made to Macmillan Cancer care and UK County Air Ambulance.
