(Free-Press-Release.com) June 4, 2009 --
Castilla y León Group was founded in 2003 by Esther Sahagún and Gerda Brenner, who share their passion of this beautiful Spanish region. Over the years they have built a reputation of offering a wide range of excellent Spanish language courses in Spain. Destinations include Alicante, Marbella, Barcelona, Pamplona, Granada, Sevilla, Madrid, Valencio, Málaga, Salamanca, Cádiz and Tenerife.
Gerda says: “Most students opt for the 20 + intensive course, which includes 4 general Spanish lessons in the morning plus one lesson about the Spanish and Latin American culture and civilization five times per week. But we’ve also noticed an increase in enquiries about combination courses, such as Spanish Language lessons combined with leisure activities – for example Tennis, Flamenco and Golf - or with Art and Literature.”
Castilla y León Group is best known for their Spanish Weekend Courses, which take place in Medina de Rioseco. Recently the BBC filmed part of their BAFTA awarded online Spanish Couse Mi Vida Loca in Rioseco. Esther says: “Being part of such a great innovative course has been a fantastic experience not only for myself but also for my family and the lucky students who happened to be at the Weekend Course when the BBC came to film the episodes there.”
The Spanish Weekend Course is aimed at all Spanish language enthusiasts who have a minimum of a pre-elementary level of Spanish and want to completely immerse themselves in the Spanish way of life over a weekend. These short educational breaks offer a fantastic mix of relaxation (i.e. walks along the canal, rent bicycles or canoes, visit of the nearby León or the ‘City of books’ Urueňa) whilst studying and practicing the language.
Since 2003 Esther and Gerda have seen many of their course participants coming back again and again. Gerda says: “The many repeat enrolments tell us that we’ve got the mix right, which is combining language lessons with the opportunity to speak Spanish 24/7 and of course we aim to make the whole experience relaxed and fun.”
