ELA Receives ASLA Merit Award

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 5, 2009 -- Lititz/State College, PA - The Pennsylvania/Delaware Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects recognized ELA Group with a ‘Merit Award’ in the category of General Design at their 2009 Professional Awards Program on Saturday May 3rd. The award was presented ‘in recognition of outstanding professional achievement’ for the ‘New Lititz Elementary School Project.’ This is the third award that ELA Group, Inc. has received for its participation on this project.

The project, completed in 2005, involved the evaluation and redesign of two down town parcels in the heart of Lititz, requiring innovative design concepts to meet the school district’s needs and maximize the two parcels of land. Both parcels were completely redesigned to provide exceptional value for the school district and the community at large. As part of the design team, ELA provided land planning services through all phases of the project including feasibility, design, construction documentation and construction administration.
