The hospital, built at a cost of Rs.40 crores, would increase the bed strength to 200 in the coming years. It would be functional by August 30 and work on all the departments of Minimal Access Surgery such as Adult Laparoscopic surgery, Paediatric Laparoscopic surgery and Endo-urology unit and Gynecological laparoscopic procedure.
On the facilities available at the hospital, Dr. Sadhana, director of the hospital said that besides key-hole surgery and surgical gastro-enterology, the hospital would also focus on Gynaecology, orthopaedic care and trauma service.

The hospital would also have a well equipped paediatric intensive care unit. It would also provide spiral CT scan and MRI at nominal cost, he said. The group would also tie-up with foreign institutions to train more professionals in latest surgery and technology. Robotic training and Intuitive Surgical designs and builds the da Vinci Surgical System is also going to be started at World Laparoscopy Hospital, Gurgaon in 2010.
