June 9, 2009

3xLOGIC completes core integration with the IBM 4690 Point-Of-Sale and their VIGIL Video Surveillance solutions providing real-time exception reporting and monitoring.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 9, 2009 -- VICTORIA BC, CANADA, 3xLOGIC announced today the release of their integration with the IBM 4690 Retail Point-Of-Sale (POS) and its VIGIL line of video surveillance solutions. The integration synchronizes video from the security cameras with point-of-sale transactions from the IBM 4690 in real-time and includes the Supermarket, ACE, GSA and Chain Drug applications from IBM.

With the integration, users of the VIGIL system are now able to receive a wide variety of real-time and after the fact alerts and reports which include both video and details of the transactions of interest.

The 4690 solution from 3xLOGIC provides a small background application that runs on the in-store controller and does not require any additional software from IBM or third-parties. The application is extremely easy to install, highly secure, and is designed to run on a wide range of existing field hardware and software without a need to upgrade.

"Our 4690 integration provides real-time data to our VIGIL DVR, allowing for quick and accurate exception reporting. The program is small, clean, secure and easy to load on the in-store controller. We are extremely proud of the finished product and excited by the applications it enables." said Scott Johnson, Senior Product Developer at 3xLOGIC. In addition, Johnson states “One of the most unique features is how we obtain transactions in real-time, allowing exception reports and alerts to be sent immediately to the designated departments or individuals. The fact that we work with the clients existing hardware and software is also extremely beneficial.”

Users of the new solution are able to utilize a variety of real-time reporting capabilities beyond a traditional system which include refrigeration and facilities monitoring, as well as instant monitoring of any 4690 event such as a manager override, value card number or even a particular transaction type. The integration allows users to also pull up after-the-fact reports which analyze employee performance, or to simply search for transactions of interest such as the use of a stolen credit card, misuse of coupons or inappropriate customer returns.

Fred De Fiore, President of Secure Now, is an authorized partner of 3xLOGIC and the provider of surveillance solutions to a variety of retail accounts. Mr. De Fiore said, "The 3xLOGIC engineering team did an excellent job with the 4690 integration. We've look for years for a surveillance solution that fully integrates with the IBM 4690 and everything we tried either did not work as required or just didn't work."

Mr. De Fiore went on to say, "Secure Now recently entered into an Authorized Partner relationship with 3xLOGIC which gave us priority access to the development team. They immediately went to work with our specialized requirements and exceeded our expectations. They were fast, accurate and everything works extremely well. We are very pleased with 3xLOGIC."
