There’s an exciting new service in town and it’s set to revolutionise eating, drinking, shopping and socialising in your area. Local entrepreneur Kristi Ferguson is putting her wealth of community knowledge to good use and giving Fraser Valley residents the heads up on who’s new, what’s on special and where’s simply worth a visit in the Fraser Valley, from Surrey to Chilliwack and beyond.

Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, Kristi kick-started her career with a course at Canada’s Youth Entrepreneur Program, having acquired the business bug from various members of her extended family. Stints in marketing, online advertising and communications in Canada, the US and the UK allowed her to hit the ground running when it came to launching her first business, Double You.ca – a personal shopping, event planning and concierge/virtual assistant initiative, aimed at businesses needing online marketing and advertising support as well as gift-hunters and party planners with too little time on their hands.

After six years focusing on Double You, Kristi took stock and realised the extent of the mental library she’d built up – a library full to the brim with local businesses and entrepreneurs just crying out to be recognised by their communities. Also on her mind was the lack of affordable, targeted advertising that she’d struggled to find for Double You.

Never one to let the grass grow under her feet, Kristi grasped the opportunity with both hands and launched FraserValleyPulse – the go-to site for men and women aged 25 plus who live, work and socialise in the exciting, diverse communities that make up the Fraser Valley.

“FraserValleyPulse is committed to providing affordable advertising to local businesses, with a promise that it will reach local, targeted communities,” says Kristi. “We have several advertising options available, including banner ads, upgraded directory listings, paid advertorials and creative partnerships.”

Each week Kristi and her team choose one business to feature, while regular blogs keep readers up-to-date with what’s happening in their area. Online directories also point the way to the best places to eat, drink, shop and relax throughout the Valley.

As Kristi says, “We believe entrepreneurs and local businesses are the heartbeat – the pulse – of the Fraser Valley, and we want to celebrate that. I love my community and the people who make it run.”
