FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 12, 2009 -- Online networking company Biltmore Who’s Who announces the beneficiaries of their charitable giving efforts for 2009 and 2010. The organizations were chosen because of their on-going commitments to superior research, advocacy, and education.

Biltmore Who’s Who has chosen the following organizations as the beneficiaries of their charitable efforts: The American Cancer Society (ACS) is a nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer. They also support the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), which combats neuromuscular diseases through programs of worldwide research, comprehensive medical and community services, and far-reaching professional and public health education. Also, the Best Buddies Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment.

“Charitable giving is vital to providing a social safety net in the United States and the world,” says Stephen Margol of Biltmore Who’s Who. “Biltmore Who's Who encourages all of our members to join us in supporting local and national charities.”

The annual report from Giving USA Foundation showed US charitable giving reached $295 billion in 2008. The report also shows that $12.72 billion of the total gifts were given by corporate foundations or corporations like Biltmore Who’s Who.

“We hope that other companies will leverage the power of their networks to encourage their peers to give individually as well,” says Margol. “The push for corporate responsibility in America shouldn’t be the only driving force for giving by corporations. Biltmore Who’s Who chose the organizations we did because we are touched by the people and missions involved in each.”
