Also, the treatment cost is lowest in India, as compared to US, Singapore, Thailand and South Africa.

In addition, India is also trying to promote its traditional medicine such as ayurveda.

Indian information Technology sector has played a principal role in putting India on the global radar. The government estimates that exports turnover will touch US$ 80 billion by 2011, growing at an annual rate of 30 per cent per annum.

In apparel and textile trade, Ministry of Textiles, India exported textiles worth US$ 15.27 billion during April-December 2008. Indian textiles, handlooms and handicrafts are exported to more than 100 countries. Americans are the largest buyers.

In steel industry, India’s total annual iron ore production is more than 200 MT, of which 50 per cent is exported.

As far as telecommunication sector is concerned, Indian telecommunications industry is the fastest in the world. And after registering a high-growth trajectory in the local markets, Indian telecommunication companies are intending to spread their wings globally.
