Short Sale Discussion Led By Foreclosure Response Team at 2009 NAR Midyear Expo in Washington, DC

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 15, 2009 -- FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (June 15, 2009) – As part of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) 2009 Midyear Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo held in Washington, DC from May 11 – 16, the Foreclosure Response Team (FRT) coordinated leadership meetings and a roundtable discussion on the topic of “Short Sales.” The FRT is a national sales, marketing and technology company that provides loss mitigation services and expedites the sale of residential and commercial properties facing foreclosure, with a specialization in Short Sale transactions.

Roundtable speakers included FRT area directors from around the country including Scott D. Coloney, president of the FRT nationwide; Kirk Heiden, executive director of FRT of Florida; Cathy Bittrick, FRT of Michigan, RE/MAX SunQuest and 2009 Regional Vice President of Ohio and Michigan for the NAR; Marc Cromier, FRT of Virginia and DC, RE/MAX Allegiance; Cheryl Auxier, FRT of Maryland, RE/MAX Allegiance; and Cathy McDaniel, FRT of Georgia, Head Training Instructor of American Real Estate University.

Organized as an open forum, a discussion between brokers and agents covered the current real estate climate in different markets. In addition, FRT area directors provided valuable information on the advantages of working together to help distressed homeowners.

Through FRT’s departmentalized structure, real estate agents are relieved of the cumbersome and complicated tasks associated with the administration, management and processing of Short Sale transactions, allowing them the opportunity to focus on the sale of the home. The Foreclosure Response Team is made up of a coalition of veteran real estate professionals in the areas of financial services, real estate law, credit consultation, sales & marketing and serves as an invaluable third-party resource for property owners, buyers and real estate agents alike.
