Each Piece is starts its life as a hand drawn picture onto which layers of wax are placed,and shaped to create an exact 3D image of the drawing.

Details including Facial Expression, Muscle Definition, Skin Fold,Hair Direction,Shadowing. It is during this process Sharp edges that may catch during its working life are removed.

Once the Wax has been transformed, and the artist is happy (this process can take painstaking months) the wax is taken to a jewlers foundry in Auckland New Zealand where it is cast in Silicon Bronze using

a meathod called “Lost Wax” where the wax is replaced by molten bronze.

The Bronze Smith then individulally Re-touches,finishes,polishes and removes excess bronze (to reduce weight). This step is critical to the successful procedure as it creates an Individual art work. Once this step is done NO two castings are ever the same!

The finished piece is then ready to be mounted and secured to its Genuine Leather backing.Hand stiched and gets its final buff and awaits its new owner.
