Taiwan’s Min-Sheng Hospital and TerraAsia/MedAsia enter cooperation agreement.

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 18, 2009 -- Min-Sheng Hospital, a leader in Taiwan’s burgeoning medical travel industry, has entered a cooperation agreement with TerraAsia/MedAsia, a medical travel facilitator based in Montreal, Canada. Following the terms of the agreement, Min-Sheng Hospital will provide medical care to North American patients referred to it by Medasia.

Canadians enjoy at home a high quality of healthcare covered by their National Health Insurance. However, the availability or the waiting time for some surgical procedures can be quite long. This is forcing patients who cannot, or do not, want to wait for these procedures, to look for alternatives outside their country.

Min-Sheng Hospital and TerraAsia/Medasia will offer Canadian patients, the option to come to Taiwan for surgery, especially for orthopedic and weight loss (bariatric) procedures. Min-Sheng Hospital’s team of surgeons,lead by Professor Lee Wei-Jie, has acclaimed expertise in laparoscopic bariatric surgery, and has gained international attention, resulting in a growing number of patients from around the world visiting for weight loss treatment.
