O'Shea makes the finals of CMT's Can You Duet!

CMT is back for season two of Can You Duet to find the hottest new and upcoming country duo. The show will take the audience on a tour of the on-stage, as well as the off-stage, life of each individual country duo group. You will get to follow the contestants with their weekly performances as the contestants battle for the 2009 win. Can You Duet is unique to Nashville and the country music world because these contestants are a part of a team and are judged as a duo, not individually. Husband and Wife, Jay and Mark O'Shea, are finalist in this years competition along with Abby and Holly, Memarie and Kassie, Ryan and Avalon, Chelsee and Rob, Harmon Creek, Steel Magnolia, The Stellas, JB Rocket, and Matt and Keeira. O'Shea is excited for the premiere of the show on June 20th at 8pm.

Individually Jay and Mark O'Shea have a string of writing and artists credits that span the globe. It is only since relocating to Nashville, from their Australian home in 2007, that this husband and wife team decided to join forces and wow- what a duo. O'Shea performs live every wednesday night at the Blue Bar in Nashville. It is rare, indeed, to find an unsigned act in Music City that can fill a venue but that's exactly what O'Shea has managed to do for over a year. Now here they are on CMT's hit show, Can You Duet ready to battle the other contestants for this years win.
The show is hosted by Lance Smith and is a music competition series created by "American Idol" producers FremeantleMeadia North America. The show features celebrity judges, Naomi Judd, Big Kenny, and Scott Borchetta (CEO of Big Machine Records). The winner will be awarded with a record deal at Big Machine Records in Nashville. The competition will be great and the show is awaiting its kickoff. O'Shea has expressed their excitement for the premier as well as many other contestants in Nashville.
