Released on June 19th, the Infiniti G Convertible has a retractable hardtop that remains seamless in it’s sporty coupe design. The innovative clamshell manner in which the hardtop retracts into the trunk minimizes the space it takes in the trunk and capitalizes on its appealing look.

The convertible has all the gusto of the Infiniti G37 sedan or coupe with the option of driving with the top-down. With a 3.7-liter V6 engine with dual air intake and exhaust at your finger tips, the Infiniti G Convertible cranks out 325 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. The exclusive VVEL technology constantly adjusts the intake valve lift and timing allowing for a quicker response and a broader torque curve, all the while enhancing fuel efficiency and lower emissions.

More often than not this is just a nostalgic idea and the reality of cold breezes and loud wind noise snaps us back into reality. Infiniti teamed up with Bose® to ingrate an Open Air Sound System that monitors ambient noise, hardtop position, and vehicle speed. This available option will dynamically adjust the amplifier’s equalization producing an untainted sound throughout the 13 speakers whether the top is up or down. AudioPilot® 2.0 noise compensation technology helps to reduce outside noise to help maintain optimum listening conditions.

Infiniti understands there are different safety concerns when it comes to a convertible than any other vehicle. When the convertible senses a potential rollover, dual Pop-up Roll Bars automatically activate and emerge from behind the rear passenger seats. In addition to Infiniti’s Advanced Air Bag System, the unique door-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags provide even more safety. Reinforced A-pillars and high strength steel used in key areas help give the convertible a strong body that still remains lightweight, not to hinder the speed of the vehicle.
