FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 22, 2009 -- Brooklyn, New York -- June 22, 2009 – PigSpigot (http://PigSpigot.com) announces the official launch of its user-generated greeting card company into public beta. From the site www.PigSpigot.com, users can browse, rate, and comment on hundreds of hip and hilarious cards – or even upload designs of their own. Once they find cards they like, users can send personalized greetings over the internet or via snail mail, all without leaving the comfort of their couches.

Crowdsourcing is at the core of how PigSpigot works. Our users both create and vote on the cards, and our built-in rating algorithm makes sure that the highest rated cards get the recognition they deserve. Designed to offer 18 to 35 year-olds non-traditional greeting card options, PigSpigot harnesses the social web to create cards in a wiki-like environment.

"We got tired of looking for edgy, fun greeting cards and coming up short," said CEO Josh Stein, "It became clear that traditional cards aren't geared towards our age group, and PigSpigot was born to fill that void."

E-cards are free for users to adapt and send. New advances in technology allow PigSpigot to print individually personalized cards on demand and mail them on to their intended recipients the same day they are ordered. The cards, all printed in accordance with the Forest Stewardship Council, cost $3.99 including postage.

PigSpigot welcomes any and all feedback. You can also find us on Twitter (http://twitter.com/PigSpigot) or on the PigSpigot blog (http://pigstyblog.PigSpigot.com).
