Afrikan Goddess explains its uniqueness in online interview.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) June 23, 2009 -- Silver Spring, June 22, 2009: Afrikan Goddess on Monday, June 22, 2009 released a statement, in an online interview, reinforcing views of its readers worldwide who say they have found solace in the online publication. The publication is dedicated to discussing and featuring issues on a wide range of topics pertaining to African women across the globe.

Issuing a statement in response to a question on Afrikan Goddess’ uniqueness, and what sets the magazine apart from other self-acclaimed “unique African women magazines,” Afrikan Goddess editor, Nicole Amma Twum-Baah said “Afrikan Goddess set out from the very start to be a unique and different kind of publication. We can be found solely online. This means we appeal to a broader audience. We have readers right here in the United States, in African countries such as Egypt in the North, South Africa in the South, Kenya to the east and Ghana in the west, and as far out as France, India and Australia. There is a fun side and a serious side to the articles we write and publish. Almost all the materials we publish are written by our staff writers, and are therefore of original content. When you click through the pages of an Afrikan Goddess issue, you will find something that interests you as a reader.” She also stated, with great emphasis, the fact that Afrikan Goddess writes about substantive issues – not about the latest fashion, gossip or entertainment news. “We want to be sure that we are speaking to our readers about all spectrums of the lives of African women, not just on specific issues.”

Since its launch in October 2008, the online magazine, designed for modern-thinking, career-minded African women located around the globe, continues to re-invent itself. According to the editor, there is a lot more to come in the coming months. The month of July will see more categories under “Love and Relationships” from articles related to sex, to those related to dating and marriage.

The publication which officially went online at the end of September 2008 has continually sparked interest among its readers and with less than a year in existence, promises to be around for a really long time. The magazine is published monthly, but is contemplating moving to become a bi-monthly publication to uphold the interest of her readers. Afrikan Goddess seeks to become the premier online publication dedicated solely to presenting and addressing issues that affect African women. At this rate, Afrikan Goddess editor admits, they are almost there! The magazine is head-quartered in Silver Spring, Maryland. Visit African Goddess at http://www.afrikangoddess.com
