2nd ANNUAL REGGAE FESTIVAL FOR CLIMATE PROTECTION TARGETS KIDS AND ENVIRONMENT JULY 11th & 12th

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 25, 2009 -- Attracting more than 1,000 people last year, the festival organizers have added a second day to the program, moving the music concert to Sunday July 12th from 1pm – 8pm.

Reggae for Climate Protection is building the success of last year adding an additional day of speakers and presentations to address specific topics for the local region. Saturday June 11th from 12PM to 6PM will be a free admittance for the general public. Exhibitors, speakers and presentations that address topics concerning the region’s social and environmental issues will be on display. A VIP Concert will follow at 6pm, Tickets for the VIP Concert at $50 Dollars.

Sunday July 12th from 1pm to 8pm, a music concert featuring international recording artists Althea Hewitt, Anguile and the High Steppers, Jelani and Reggaelution will benefit the Green Leadership Institute. Tickets are on sale, $20 for adults and $5 for kids before July 4th and $30 and $10 after. Parking is $5 for vehicles on the estate grounds and discounts are available for anyone who purchases carbon credits in advance.

Two free drinks will be provided for participants of the Utica Boilermaker Race who brings their Bib. Reggae bucks will be distributed at the Boilermaker race on Sunday July 12th at 9am and can be used towards any purchases made at the event.

Located 20 minutes north of Cooperstown, 10 minutes from the Thruway at exit 30, 20 minutes from Utica and 45 minutes from Albany, Gelston Castle Estate at 980 Robinson Road is the historic summer home where US President Theodore Roosevelt spent summers in his childhood childhood.
