HeiTech Services, Inc. today announced that President & CEO, Heidi W. Gerding was honored as a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2009 Award. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Ms. Gerding was selected from nearly 50 nominations by a panel of independent judges as a one of four finalists in the IT Products and Services category. Ms. Gerding was recognized at a special gala event on June 25, 2009 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.

HeiTech Services provides information technology, professional services, management consulting and program support services to eleven federal agencies, including one legislative agency, one independent agency, and nine executive-level departments. HeiTech’s support ranges from records management, mailroom, and marketing/outreach services to program management, training, help desk, and information assurance. Since its inception in October 1999, HeiTech Services has grown from a small, home-based business with two employees and a very modest $28K in revenue to a vibrant company with nearly 450 employees and 2008 annual revenue of $21M. HeiTech expects to continue its explosive growth this year, and has projected its 2009 annual revenues to top $40M.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards program celebrates its 23rd anniversary this year. The program has expanded to recognize business leaders in over 135 cities in 50 countries throughout the world.
