Daytona Beach Cash for Clunkers car dealers gear up for spike in trade-ins

Daytona Toyota’s Daytona Beach Cash for Clunkers program will encourage car shoppers to upgrade their old cars for more fuel-efficient ones by offering government-approved discounts to owner with eligible vehicles. Available as $3,500 or $4,500 discounts, each upgrade requires a specific mileage increase. Passenger cars require improvements of four mpg and ten mpg respectively, light-duty trucks require two mpg and five mpg, and large light-duty trucks require one mpg and two mpg. Also, for each different sized vehicle, there will be a specific EPA mileage requirement for the trade in vehicle. Passenger cars will require 22 mpg, light-duty trucks 18 mpg, and large light-duty trucks 15 mpg. With these government assisted enhancements in fuel efficiency and mpgs, Cash for Clunkers Daytona Beach dealers are helping to clean up the air and help customers get what they want all at the same time.

In order to qualify for this car allowance rebate system, Daytona Beach Cash for Clunkers cars must meet certain specifications. All trade in vehicles must get 18 mpg or less. Any Daytona Beach Cash for Clunkers dealer will allow one trade-in per customer under the government’s Car Allowance Rebate System (CARS). Only vehicles with an MSRP of $45,000 or less will be accepted and the program excludes leases under five years. The Daytona Beach Cash for Clunkers program is slated to begin within 30 days.
