Most people only need about 1/2 acre of coverage to keep their dogs in the yard, The Petsafe PIF-300 cover a circular area of 180 feet. If you need more area to cover you can purchase the Petsafe IF-100 extra Transmitter and over lap the signals. A simple way to explain the PIF-300 perimeter is that it's 90 feet out in any given direction from the transmitter. This system is easily Adjusted from 15 feet out to 90 feet. If you take your dogs with you while you travel the pif-300 can go with you too...it's portable!!! I do not like to watch my dogs every time I let them out for a potty break and I did not want to dig up my yard. The PIF-300 system was a no brainer.

You can also put as many dogs dogs on this contaiment system as you want. Simple just purchase the PIF-275-19 Receiver Collars and with it's 6 adjustable levels of correction you can find the Perfect correction for your stubborn or mild mannered dog. These collars give a warning beep before correction and most of the time you dog will hear the beep and back off or sit. One draw back is that if you live near a power station or a sub station your signals may get weak or the system may not function properly. Plus you ground should be fairly level as I have some small hills but I do not loose the signal. Give it a try it a very good system at a very reasonable price.
