At the heart of our system is a concept we refer to as YUP (Your Universal Phone). Upon registering and downloading a Softphone, customers are given a unique 5 digit access number (YUP number). This number has versatility quite similar to an email address. Imagine a phone number that’s yours for life and goes where you go with the only requirement being internet access. There are no monthly fees, no start up costs, and no credit check.

There is never a charge for calls between YUP users.

Public Access Numbers – we offer a concept called Public Access Numbers. This concept differentiates us from many other VOIP companies. We currently have Public Access Numbers in over 50 countries. As a BeFair Communications customer, you provide friends and relatives that reside in any of these countries a phone number that will be considered a local call for them. After dialing the Public Access Number, the caller will be prompted to enter your YUP extension and the call is connected. You pay nothing for this call, because on our system incoming calls are always FREE.

Calling Credits – When customers of BeFair Communications initiate a call outside of the YUP network they will incur a charge. These charges are based on the calling rates to that particular country. We’re confident these rates are less expensive than most. **insert link to rates** Calling credit can be purchased in increments as low as $5.00 via pay pal or credit card.

Standard Private Numbers – we are frequently asked, “What if I don’t want people to have to use a public access number and enter an extension to reach me, what about people who aren’t YUP customers, how do they reach me?” For a fee of 6.50 per month you can order a standard phone number (7 digits plus area code in the US). A major benefit of this is that you can order this number from any us city in the US and it doesn’t have to be the city that you live in. You can list yourself in the yellow pages of multiple cities with a local number for that city.

Devices – For the person that says, “Well, I don’t want to carry my laptop and VOIP headphones with me everywhere I go.” We offer various devices that enable you to benefit from all of our services using a standard phone. The only requirement is internet access. We also offer devices that connect to your High Definition television and provided the caller on the other end is on our system and has a similar device you and that person can speak with each other and see each other in High Definition.
