Actual flowers from Michael Jackson casket for sale on eBay

Immediately following the July 7th memorial service, one of SHOPitLA's long time celebrity clients came to their store with the flowers, a memorial service program and a ticket marked with "FLOOR 2."

"We have a lot of celebrity clients," said Amy Weintraub, owner of SHOPitLA, "this particular client had special access during the memorial service and was given these roses."

The client, according Amy, had no need for the flowers and thought a Jackson fan might get more use out of them.

SHOPitLA put the items up on eBay under their sister id SHOPitHollywood and with 15 minutes, the auction was bid up to over $250. This came as a surprise even to these veteran eBayers.

"I've never seen an auction jump up that quickly," said Weintraub. "This is definitely one of the most unusual items we have ever put up for auction, but then Michael Jackson was one of the most unusual people on the planet."

Los Angeles based SHOPitLA is one of the largest eBay drop off stores in California and has over 20,000 positive feedbacks. It's not uncommon for them to sell celebrity items, but nothing could quite prepare them for an item like this.
