Australian Navy Horrified By Sex Games

(Free-Press-Release.com) July 8, 2009 -- An investigation is underway in Australia, over claims that its navy sailors vied to witness who could sleep with the most number of female crew members. Sailors supposedly competed against each other for hard cash.

Sailors on board HMAS Success placed a cash assessment on each woman's head. It has now been verified that four members of the navy, thought to be the originators of the sex games, were disembarked from the vessel in Singapore, in May, after some of the women crew filed complaints about the assumed sex games. The wrongdoers were formally interviewed before leaving the ship in Singapore.

The report said that sleeping with a female officer, or a lesbian, or having sex in a strange place, collected higher points and won extra cash. It was during an overseas operation in May that the alleged games were played. It is thought the sailors made a record of their accomplishments in a book known as The Ledger.

The Defense Ministry would not reveal what numbers of crew were involved in the games; apart from a number of concerns mentioned by female sailors were "now subject to formal investigation".

"These hidden behaviours are unacceptable however it is vital to get to the facts of it all", said Kevin Rudd, the Australian Prime Minister.

"I want an entire investigation, so women do not feel banned from serving their nation", says Ms Julia Gillard, the Deputy Prime Minister. "As a country we have been saying for a long time we recruit men and women to be capable to join the Army, the Navy and the Air Force along with good careers in it. Obviously the complaints need to be investigated".

It was through an equity and diversity health check that several concerns were raised by the female crew. These complaints have become the issue of a formal inquiry.
