Chicago-based glass company Builders Architectural Products launched a program entitled "Green Guinea Pig", in which 7 different green technologies will be placed at various locations in Chicago and monitored for actual field performance.

The professional design process, actual installation and data collection will be videotaped for television. Progress and results will be made available via Builders Architectural Products' blog ChicagoWindowExpert.com

Local building owners are invited to apply to become "Green Guinea Pigs". Applicants selected will have the alternative energy system installed in their property at little or no cost in exchange for participation in the program.

Technologies which will be employed include super insulating glass, self-heating glass, PV(photovoltaic) panels, PV Awnings, PV roofing membrane, solar metal panels and solar water heat.

Corporate and private sponsorship for Green Guinea Pig projects is welcome.
