Chiropractic treatments consist of gentle adjustments to the spine. These adjustments are painless and there is often a feeling of ease after the adjustment because pressure is relieved from spinal nerves and discs in your spine. Dr. Edelson is trained to give many different kinds of adjustments even adjustments to the arms and legs for sore shoulders and knees for example.
There are 24 movable segments of the human spine. When one or more of these segments are not moving properly then that particular segment needs a chiropractic adjustment. Once an adjustment is made to the spine the segment can move through its full range of motion again allowing the muscles to relax. Always remember, movement is the key to life!
Do I need a Chiropractor?

No. You may need a referral to our office if you have an HMO insurance policy that you would like to use. If you are unsure, please call our office and someone on our friendly staff will be able to give you a definitive answer.

The cost of treatment is based on the procedures performed, and can be different for every patients particular case. How well educated is your Chiropractor?

Chiropractors have undergraduate pre-requisites for Chiropractic College. At least 90 hours must be obtained in subjects such as biology, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, psychology and other basics needed for a bachelor’s degree. Can pregnant women receive Chiropractic Care?
Definitely! Dr. Edelson has taken over 100 hours in post-graduate studies to learn how to care for pregnant women. Sciatica, muscle cramps and low back pain are a few common symptoms of pregnancy, and many times they can be relieved by gentle Chiropractic treatments. Adjusting pregnant women is very different than adjusting other patients. The procedure is very gentle and easy. Can kids receive Chiropractic care?

Absolutely! Kids are so resilient that many acute problems are taken care of very quickly with Chiropractic care. Specific problems taken care of at an early age can prevent many problems from developing later in life.
Adjustments to a child’s spine are done much differently than on an adult’s spine. Very light pressure is applied to the child’s misalignments. There is no “popping” or “cracking.” It is an extremely gentle procedure.
I don’t like the idea of having my back or neck “popped.” Is there any other way?

Yes, there is! The treatments done at Edelson Chiropractic & Wellness Center are always tailored for each individual’s needs. There are three primary techniques that Dr. Edelson performs on his patients. One is the typical hands-on Chiropractic adjustment. The other two are very gentle techniques.
