FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) July 13, 2009 --
Persons visiting the site can locate stories based on region, category, or keyword. Each story page has links to the video, imagery of the interview, and a full transcript of the meeting. Also available are biographies of the youth groups that have participated in the project, as well as related links and information on how to get involved.
Informatics has worked with The African American Museum of Iowa to establish a database-driven content management system that allows administrators the ability to upload new stories and update existing portions of the site, as well as create new group biographies as they become available.
Currently available stories include observations on education from Clinton, IA’s first female African American mayor LaMetta Wynn, an account of growing up, falling in love, and starting a business from Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sharp, and a message of determination and desire from Iowa State’s Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Thomas Hill.
